Complications
- Septic abortion
- Definition: an infection of the placenta and fetus before 20 weeks’ gestation which is inevitably associated with fetal death

- Pregnancy termination with retained POCs (products of conception)

- Fever, lower abdominal pain
- Malodorous, purulent cervical discharge
