Official notes from KUMC pages:
- International Observership Program: for visiting residents, physicians, or medical school graduates; current medical students are ineligible. Maximum 4 weeks; strictly observation only; no patient care and no being alone with patients.
- Apply for observership by emailing [email protected] to receive the inquiry application link. Do not attach documents when requesting the survey. Contacting clinicians/researchers/departments directly outside the process may cause ineligibility.
- School of Medicine Clinical Electives Program: for international medical students in their final year; each module is 4 weeks and students are limited to one module. Electives are offered year-round except July, August, and September.
- Clinical elective page notes accepted students may come on B-1 or ESTA if applicable; this is not listed as KUMC visa sponsorship.
